Dear Friends and guests of Leaf Hotels (Clifton Hotel Folkestone, Leaf Hotel Dover & Holiday Inn Express Canterbury)

This is our weekly update to let you know we are still working towards getting the hotels ready for opening, which if everything goes to plan with the government’s 5 step plan we are hoping it could be on or around the 4th July 2020.

We are really pleased to see that the fantastic people of the UK are doing all that they can to get through this pandemic and that the numbers of deaths is reducing. We are really happy that the government has begun to take steps to bring us all out of lockdown and we can all hope that we, as a country continue along this path. We are continuing to maintain our hotels and are putting in place plans & PPE following the government advice to ensure the health & safety of our guests and staff when you are all allowed to return.

The Leaf Hotel Dover’s collection service for our new Roast Chicken Concept is continuing to have a positive impact within the local community. Please check out our social media & facebook pages to see hat delight Chef Satish has put together


We were also very proud & honoured to serve the fantastic staff at the William Harvey Hospital, Ashford earlier this month, so much so, that we are now looking to do the same with the local NHS teams in Dover…watch this space. We have had a small army of volunteers sprucing up the hotels by painting and decorating the public areas whilst we are closed along with maintaining vital health & safety checks during this closure.

We are continuing with our redevelopment project at Leaf Hotel, Dover, getting it ready to open as the new Holiday Inn, Dover later on this year. The work is ongoing, but with the lifting of controls on the construction industry we are hopeful this can now begin to really move up a level.

We are continuing to work with Best  Westerns ‘Wave with Words’ venture where we write to people who are feeling isolated & lonely during this lockdown to offer them words of encouragement, support and love to help them still feel part of the community. We will keep you update further in the coming weeks, however, still remain here to be of service in what ever capacity we can and we genuinely wish that you STAY SAFE and look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
